Earth Mama Photography is dedicated to capturing those memories so they last forever. I specialize in birth photography, but also love portraiture for your pregnancy, newborn or family. I try to use natural light and shoot on location. This allows my canvas to be the beauty of the world around you. I try to achieve whatever look you may be hoping for, making each portrait a cherished keepsake, unique and inspired. EMP only offers digital packages, allowing you the ability to show your photos to friends and family online.

Elizabeth Boyce is a mom to four beautiful children and has had a camera in her hands since her oldest was very young. She began photographing births for her doula clients about 4 years ago, before it was even popular! After many requests, she expanded into portraiture. She can't decide what she loves the most. Birth photography is photojournalistic and tells the story of a miracle. Portraiture captures a unique moment that may never happen again. Each is special in it's own way and make her better at what she does... capturing your memories.

{Welcome Willow ~ April 4, 2010} Carrollton- Coppell- Irving Birth Photographer

Willow is going to have quite a story to tell about her birth weekend. I met her parents Saturday afternoon to do a maternity session. In the middle of our session, Mom's water broke! It was quite the adventure! Willow, however, decided she wanted to wait until Easter Sunday to come into this world.

After a whirlwind, she was born by emergency c-section and I was lucky enough to be there to capture it all. She is amazingly beautiful and so alert. It was like she couldn't wait to get into this world and see what she has been missing. Mom and Dad just adore her, and they should!

Watch the blog for those maternity peeks and her newborn peeks! They are coming shortly!

My fav... told you she was alert!

{Welcome Amelia} Dallas- Desoto- Irving Birth Photographer

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the birth of this sweet girl. Due to schedule conflicts, I did not get to meet her mom and dad before the birth. She decided to make her arrival early and so we met for the first time at the birth. That is obviously not the ideal, but it was just lovely! They were so welcoming and I was excited to be there. In fact, Dad and I could have chatted it up all night. Good thing we had this sweet girl to switch our attention to.

The love was just thick in the air and I am so honored to have captured these special moments forever. Mom is an avid scrapper and I hope to catch a peak at what she does with these!

Enjoy you guys!

{Perfect Sunday Afternoon} Irving- Dallas- Coppell Birth Photographer

I got a call yesterday evening saying that this mama was in early labor, but she kindly waited until this morning to call anyone to come. Yeah for a full night's sleep! She was absolutely stunning. She was totally calm and peaceful and did wonderfully. Her support team (awesome hubby, a great doula, and two outstanding midwives) were there by her side thru it all and she just did great.

We were all excited to find out that it was a boy! One of the cutest moments though is when his big sister comes in the meet him and someone asks her what she thinks of her new brother and she replies, "I have a big nose." LOL! I think it was followed with a comment on how little his nose was, but no one heard it over the laughter. Gotta love the thoughts of a two year old. Ok, now the good stuff!!

This is one of my favs of the whole birth. He literally came out, went on mom's chest, lifted up his head, and looked at mom and dad. AMAZING. I love homebirth. Sigh.

{I love this family} Arlington- Irving- Dallas Birth Photographer

I love this family. I did their maternity portraits and then joined them for their birth. Tomorrow I am headed out to do newborn pictures. It is so much fun when I get to be there for everything. I really love seeing each family grow. I especially love this family though. Mom and I hit it off right away and I have fallen in love with their extended family after the birth. It was wonderful to see parents surrounded by so much love. It made me wish my family were closer. They have patiently waited for these all week, so without further ado, I will get to the good stuff!

I am loving these generational images of hands. This is mom in labor and her mom holding her hand.

{Off to the Circus} Trophy Club- Grapevine- Irving Childrens Photographer

I had the joy of going to the circus on Saturday! I was asked to Photograph Avey's first birthday in Trophy Club. It was so cool! Her mama put a lot of time and thought into it and I think it paid off. They had a photobooth, a wagon parade, pin the nose on the clown, a bubble machine, and much more. They even had peanuts, popcorn, and cotton candy!

Here are your sneak peaks! Your family is so wonderful... thanks for sharing Avey's special day with me!

This was probably one of my favs... we tried so hard to get the nose on her and everyone smiling at the camera. Instead she had her nose on and ripped g-ma's off! LOL! It resulted in this...

jtbirthday_07_25_09-127-2
Avey really wanted popcorn. I mean, it was HER birthday afterall! But this little guy, no matter how nicely she asked, wasn't sharing. She would rub his arm, smile, and be so sweet. Grandma and Grandpa came to the rescue eventually, but not before we got this look of determination.
jtbirthday_07_25_09-504
She gave up on eating the smash cake (vanilla) when she realized there was chocolate. Smart girl!
jtbirthday_07_25_09-310
The amazing cake... although it came with quite the drama! Thank goodness for pre-paying.
jtbirthday_07_25_09-55
One of the few smiles we got out of the birthday girl. Fevers on your birthday are no fun.
jtbirthday_07_25_09-414
A quick family photo. With a balloon. Who invited the white balloon? Don't they know white is never a good idea for pictures? Sheesh.
